Eleonora Giannini

Eleonora Giannini is an architect and researcher specialising in urban regeneration processes with a high social impact. Her research lies at the intersection of public space design, spatial planning and digital technologies, with a particular focus on the implications of digitalisation for the landscape: both as a tool for civic participation and as a process with profound socio-environmental impacts on vulnerable communities and territories.

She adopts an interdisciplinary approach combining quantitative and qualitative methods, spatial analysis and ethnographic research, with numerous projects carried out in Europe and Latin America. She has published articles in scientific journals on urban regeneration, interactive landscapes and sustainability.

She holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and a PhD in Landscape Architecture from the University of Florence, having completed a visiting period at the Instituto de Arquitectura Avanzada de Cataluña in Barcelona, and was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Geography and Planning at the University of Sheffield.
